Island Vape UK Loyalty Points: Important Update

Why are changes being introduced?

UK legislation introduces restrictions on the free distribution of vaping and nicotine products and on selling these products at substantial discounts for promotional purposes. Retailers must take these requirements into account when operating loyalty and rewards schemes.

We've updated our redemption policy to reflect our approach to these changes while continuing to offer our customers a way to use their accumulated loyalty points.

We're updating the way you can redeem your loyalty points at Island Vape UK. We want to explain what this means for you, how to use your rewards and what to expect when placing your next order.

Your loyalty points remain an important part of our rewards scheme, and we'll make sure the new redemption rules are easy to understand.

Please note, due to the governments new law not being as black and white as we would like, the rules surrounding the points redemption are subject to change. However, we will always do our best to ensure they're as beneficial to you as they can be! 

We have raised this concern with trading standards already, and are awaiting a response.

What's changing?

From 29 October 2026, the way loyalty points can be applied to orders will change.

Under our updated redemption policy, you can use your available points to receive a discount of up to 25% of your eligible basket value. This means the value of the voucher you choose must not exceed 25% of your basket total.

As a result, your order will need to meet a minimum spend before you can use a particular voucher.

How much do I need to spend?

To help you work out which reward you can use, we've provided some examples below.

For example, if you want to redeem a £5 voucher, your basket must be worth at least £20. If your basket comes to £40, you could redeem a £10 voucher, provided you have enough points available.

The same principle applies to all voucher values: your basket must be worth at least four times the value of the voucher you want to redeem.

*Vouchers will not work in conjunction with other multi buy offers, and some clearance items.

What happens to my existing loyalty points?

Your existing points balance will remain available in your account, subject to the terms of our loyalty scheme. You can continue to collect and save points for future orders.

The updated redemption rules affect how much of your basket total can be covered by a voucher. If you have enough points for a voucher but your current basket doesn't meet the minimum spend, you can add eligible items to your order or save your points for another time.

Your points aren't lost simply because your basket doesn't qualify for the voucher you'd like to use.

Can I use all my points on one order?

You can redeem points up to the permitted limit for your basket. However, loyalty points cannot be used to pay for more than 25% of the eligible order value under our updated policy.

For example, a £20 basket can qualify for a £5 voucher, but it cannot qualify for a £10 voucher under these redemption rules.

If you have more points available than you can use on your current order, any unused points can be saved for a future purchase, in accordance with the scheme's terms.

What if my voucher isn't available at checkout?

If your chosen voucher isn't showing as an option, first check that your basket meets the minimum spend requirement.

For example, a £10 voucher requires a basket value of at least £40. If your basket is below that amount, you may need to choose a smaller voucher or save your points until your next order.

The checkout will determine which redemption options are available based on your basket and points balance.
